OAAA Independent Advisory Group Quarterly Update
By Diana Stevenson, Chair
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving break and is feeling energized to complete another strong year for OOH. OAAA recently released Q3 OOH results, and our industry is up 4.3% for the quarter and up 4.6% YTD through September.
Our next Advisory Group meeting is mid-December, so I’ll have more updates soon but there are several items I want to highlight for you now.
- We’re thrilled to announce OAAA is restructuring our Independent sessions at the 2025 OOH Conference so that our programming doesn’t overlap with the other important conference offerings. We’ll have our Independent sessions and a networking event in the mid-afternoon and early evening of Monday, May 5th. This means you’ll want to arrive in Boston no later than early afternoon that Monday, so please plan your schedules now. We’ll be sharing more details soon.
- OOH competes strongly with digital, especially social media, for local ad dollars. OAAA’s latest research from The Harris Poll shows how OOH can amplify and drive higher consumer engagement for local advertisers’ social media efforts, underscoring the amplification power of OOH. You can download the full report and Infographics here.
- Generating client results is the foundation of our success and leads to renewals. We all love great client testimonials, so I want to encourage you to consider submitting entries for the 2025 Local Case Studies Contest, which launches in early January. Right now, you can take advantage of over 300 local case studies currently in the OAAA Case Study Library. Simply use this link or go to the Resource Center on the home page, then select Case Studies and filter to “Local Case Studies”. You can even sort by KPI, such as “increase social media engagement” to find studies directly related to your own clients’ KPIs.
As always, please reach out to me, or our OAAA staff liaisons, Mike Hershey ([email protected]) and Steve Nicklin ([email protected]) with your ideas on topics you’d like to see addressed in OAAA conference programming, webinars and other content.
I wish all of my fellow OAAA members a very happy holiday season, and another terrific year for OOH in 2025!
