OAAA Independent Advisory Group Quarterly Update

It was wonderful seeing so many Independent members at the OOH conference last month. The educational programming tracks and town hall developed by our Advisory Group were very well attended with over 100 people in each session. Thanks to all the Independents who showed up and participated.

Dave Westburg of Billboard Insider did a masterful job moderating our town hall where we discussed everything from current growth trends to easements and DOOH investment ROI targets. Kevin Gephart shared his expertise on essential areas of focus to maximize DOOH sales, and Jordan Fraser gave a very informative presentation on DOOH programmatic opportunities. Another conference highlight were the presentations by the winners of the OAAA/Geopath Local Case Study Contest. Featuring clients with both small and large budgets, The Masonic Grand Lodge of RI, and Icelandair, deployed OOH campaigns which produced very impressive results. I hope you’ll take a moment to review these excellent case studies.

The OBIEs are always an incredible display of the best of OOH creative, and it was thrilling to see so many local campaigns honored this year. You can view all the winners and their award-winning creative here.  

The next Independent-focused programming is a webinar on June 12 with Borrell Associates, where they’ll be sharing the results of their annual Local Ad Sales survey. It should be very insightful in defining current local ad marketplace trends.
