OAAA and Geopath announced the winners of the 9th Annual Local Case Study Awards at the 2024 OOH Media Conference earlier this month.
Created in 2016 to recognize outstanding OOH campaigns that drive results for local businesses, the grand prize winners were:
- Kathy Crowley, Lamar Advertising, for The Masonic Grand Lodge of Rhode Island. The campaign produced over 500 visits to the designated website page exclusively advertised on their billboard. The target audience CPM for Men 18+ was under $5, generating strong and cost-effectiveness engagement. The results underscored the value of OOH in driving online traffic and engaging the target demographic.
- Mark Hobbs, OUTFRONT Media, for Icelandair. They used OOH to promote their 3-day immersive event, “Iceland: Around the Corner Festival”, in Boston that allowed attendees to experience the “Land of Fire and Ice” through exhibits, live music, and giveaways. The event sold out each day, produced organic reach of 493,000 in social media posts, and generated almost 1,800 QR code scans of the OOH creative.
Both grand prize recipients were honored with all-expenses-paid trips to the conference to accept their awards on stage and deliver presentations on their highly successful campaigns.
In addition to the Grand Prize winners, five finalists were also recognized:
- Howard Marcus from OUTFRONT Media for The City University of New York
- Courtney Boucher from OUTFRONT Media for Visit Virginia Blue Ridge
- Allie Dickinson from Clear Channel Outdoor for Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey
- Mandi Smith from Lamar Advertising for Kidney4Izzy
- Michael Joyce from OUTFRONT Media for The Museum of Fine Arts Boston Hokusai Exhibition
