On September 21st, International Peace Day, we invite you to be a part of Essays for Peace.
This global action involves replacing the content on every possible screen in the world—public and private, large and small—for any duration (seconds, minutes, or hours), concentrated mostly at midnight or midday, with a video or image of a single lit candle glowing. No words. No logos. No flags. Just a candle.
More than 20,000 screens across 130 cities in the world participated last year. Starting in New Zealand, continuing across Asia and Europe and finishing in Hawaii, the candle video lit up the screens progressively. This year more than 150 companies already donated space in 100,000 screens in at least 250 cities and continuing to grow.
