The Out of Home Advertising Association of America (OAAA) is the premier trade association for the US out of home (OOH) advertising industry. Our members are the top media companies spanning print, digital, and video, as well as technology, suppliers, and buyers. OOH media includes billboards, street furniture, transit, place-based media, and digital formats (DOOH) across every sector of the channel. About the Role:
We’re looking for a Social Media + Content Manager to join our growing team and use your social media expertise to help elevate and amplify the OOH industry. In this creatively-based editorial, tactical, and operational role, you’ll collaborate with a small but mighty team of marketers dedicated to building up the OOH industry, “the most Instagrammable medium.”

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Develop overall social media visions and strategies for OAAA, including audience development, platform prioritization, engagement, and visibility
- End-to-end planning and management of social assets for all stages of the marketing funnel. Create compelling narratives by crafting social media copy and leveraging visual elements (i.e., video, well-designed imagery) and other storytelling mediums
- Develop, own, and maintain organic social content and partner with the Senior Director of Marketing on PR, event, and Thought Leadership initiatives as applicable
- Conduct social media audits and iterate campaigns based on key learnings, including providing suggestions for specific platforms and designs
- Manage social media/community, including social listening, community management, and engagement
- Use analytical skills to assess reports and KPIs to provide insights on channel, campaign, and post-performance to the larger OAAA team
- Use marketing tools such as Sprout Social
- Helping develop and maintain consistent content standards
- Concept, shoot, and edit video for posting
What we are looking for:
- Experience: At least three (3) years of experience in social media marketing and/or management.
- Knowledge & Certifications: Have a strong understanding and proven ability/knowledge in some of the following social media platforms:
- Twitter, Threads
- Instagram, Reels, Stories
- TikTok
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva
- Superb verbal and written communication skills
- Highly developed attention to detail
- Proven track record of working with and across teams to lead and collaborate on projects
- Journalism, Mass Communications, Broadcast Communications degrees preferred
