OAAA/Geopath Local Case Studies Contest
Eligibility Requirements

  1. Campaigns can be entered by any account executive or sales manager of an OAAA or Geopath member media company.

  2. Eligible campaigns must have been posted between January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020.
  3. The campaign must have featured a purely local advertiser - no national or regional campaigns are eligible unless they were contracted locally and appeared in a single market. 
  4. The campaign must have quantifiable results (e.g. increased sales by a certain number or percent, generated a specific number of consumer responses to the promotion, produced a percentage increase in traffic to the advertiser's website, generated a certain number of social media postings, etc.) PLEASE NOTE - only entries with quantifiable results will be considered.
  5. All submissions must be received no later than February 19, 2021.

All submissions will be evaluated for meeting the criteria above. Those submissions that meet the criteria will be judged, then OAAA and Geopath will award: 

  • Five individual $250 prizes
  • One Grand Prize of $1,000 and feature at OAAA/Geopath OOH Media Conference in April 2021

Provide a situational analysis of the advertiser at the time the plan was constructed. What were the challenges, needs, and issues?

State the advertising objectives. Include specific demographic targets.


Describe the recommended plan created to address the objectives. Indicate how each campaign element was selected and used. If Geopath Out of Home Ratings were used, please indicate how they contributed strategic value to the plan.


Plan Details:
Provide particulars on flight dates, out of home formats used, impressions and ratings data, reach and frequency, and any other relevant metrics.



Provide quantifiable results (sales, website or social traffic increase, consumer response to a specific offer or promotion) and any custom research, client testimonials, or press features that support the success of the campaign. Note – your submission will not be considered for a prize if quantifiable results are not included. 

Additional Information:
Provide any other relevant comments or observations that testify to the success of the out of home campaign.

Proof of Performance
Include at least one digital image of the creative posted in the market and any other relevant materials you'd like to incorporate into your submission. Images must be in JPEG format and under 2MB each. If you would have questions about the contest, please contact OAAA at 202-833-5566.
