Link Media’s Jim McLaughlin Joins Board of National Trade Association

James A. (Jim) McLaughlin, president and CEO of Link Media Outdoor, today joined the board of directors of the Outdoor Advertising Association of America (OAAA).

 “Jim McLaughlin is respected by peers nationwide as a builder of growth and equity,” said Nancy Fletcher, president and CEO of the national trade association for out of home advertising.  “We value Jim’s insights and welcome him to our industry’s national board.”

OAAA Chairman Sean Reilly added that the involvement of proven leaders like Jim McLaughlin make the national trade association stronger. Reilly, CEO of Lamar Advertising Company, noted that McLaughlin has a long history of contributions to the industry.

McLaughlin has 43 years of experience in the out of home (OOH) advertising industry, building eight companies for various private equity sponsors.  He is president the CEO of Link Media Outdoor, an operating company based in Wichita, KS, within the conglomerate Boston Omaha Corporation (Nasdaq: BOMN).

Link operates in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Wisconsin.  The company’s goal is to grow by purchasing existing OOH advertising inventory, developing new sites, and purchasing easements and/or property.  Link recently closed on the purchases of Corey Outdoor and Vision Outdoor based in Georgia.

In 2015, McLaughlin was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Outdoor Advertising Association of America.  At that time, he was president and CEO of Signal Holdings based in Alpharetta, GA.   McLaughlin was educated at West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV.
