OAAA Elects Three New Officers, Five New Members to the 2017-2019 Board of Directors
May 15, 2017 (Washington, DC) – Sean Reilly, chief executive officer of Lamar Advertising Company in Baton Rouge, LA, has been elected chair of the Outdoor Advertising Association of America (OAAA), a trade group representing the out of home (OOH) advertising industry.
Reilly, a former member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, succeeds William Reagan, chair of Reagan Outdoor in Salt Lake City, UT.
“It’s an honor to serve as chair at a time of tremendous growth in our industry,” said Reilly. “OOH advertising is evolving in response to changing consumer habits, and OAAA will drive a united mission around which the OOH community can rally and celebrate.”
Reilly, a Baton Rouge native, joined Lamar Advertising Company in 1989, then a family owned business, founded by his great-grandfather Charles Lamar Sr. in 1902. A Harvard Law School graduate, he worked on acquisitions and real estate and has served as chief operating officer.
From 1988 to 1996, Reilly served in the Louisiana Legislature as a State Representative from District 68. He was a member of the Ways and Means committee and the Education, Commerce, and Legislative Audit Advisory committee.
“Sean has experienced firsthand the evolution of the OOH industry over the last 30+ years, successfully piloting his business through the changing media landscape into today’s age of technology and data, in which OOH is more relevant than ever,” said OAAA President and CEO Nancy Fletcher. “OAAA is fortunate to have him serve in this leadership position, sharing his valuable expertise as we continue to serve advertisers, consumers, and communities.”
Three members of the board have been elected as officers for the 2017-2019 term. Don Allman, Intersection, will serve as the treasurer; Jean-Luc Decaux, JCDecaux, will serve as the new vice chair of marketing; and Vince Miller, DDI Media, has been elected as the new vice chair of standards, safety & technology.
OAAA also elected five new members to its board of directors:
· Andrew Cousin, chairman and CEO of Circle Graphics
· Rick Del Mastro, chairman and CEO of City Outdoor
· Ray Moyers, CEO of Signal Outdoor Advertising
· Steve Richards, president of Mile High Outdoor and Pacific Outdoor
· Pudge Roberts, president of Coastal Outdoor Advertising
