Digital Roadblock: OOH Industry Celebrates Parks on Earth Day

The OOH industry launched a digital roadblock on Earth Day (April 22) to help support the nation’s parks and historic sites.  

Iconic images – such as Everglades National Park and the Statue of Liberty – were featured nationwide throughout the day on donated space on digital billboards, bus shelters, and other OOH formats.

The OOH industry has partnered with the National Park Foundation to help celebrate the centennial of the National Park Service, founded in 1916.    The year-plus centennial campaign launched in New York on April 2, starting with a multi-media pitch to young people called “Find Your Park.” The launch included a digital take-over in Times Square and mobile billboards featuring the campaign creative. Mobile billboards also supported Find Your Park events in Los Angeles and Washington, DC.  

The initial phase of the parks’ centennial campaign includes nearly 1,000 static bulletins, bus shelters, bus kings, and posters to be posted pro bono.
