In a show of solidarity with France in light of the tragic events in Paris last Friday night, Clear Channel Outdoor Boston – located in Stoneham – has been displaying a sign of support on at least two dozen digital billboards, including in Stoneham facing Rte. 93 and before the intersection with Rte. 128.

In addition, Clear Channel Oudoor also lit Boston’s South Station, which remained lit through Monday with the red, white and blue colors of the French flag.

“Clear Channel Outdoor provided digital billboard space throughout the state and illuminated South Station in the colors of the French flag to show solidarity with our nation’s oldest ally,” said Stephen Ross, president of the Clear Channel Outdoor Boston Division. “These attacks have left us all shocked and saddened, and as a good corporate citizen, Clear Channel Outdoor is proud to provide a forum for this message, which provides over a million impressions to the people of the Commonwealth.

“Outdoor advertising is a powerful medium and an effective way to reach a mass audience with important, real-time information in times of crisis; and we often partner with public safety agencies to help them reach the public with important messaging.

“In this case, we are providing an outlet to let all in the international community know that we support France during this difficult time, and as a reminder that we must all be vigilant.”
The attacks, which were made by three teams of terrorists at a soccer stadium, at least two restaurants and a concert hall, killed at least 129 people. Over 300 people were wounded. ISIS released a video in which it vowed there would be more attacks.
