New Outdoor PSA Campaign: ‘Vaccinate Your Baby’
Actor Amanda Peet Praises OAAA Partnership with Every Child by Two

(Washington) – A new outdoor advertising public service campaign aimed at communicating the importance of timely vaccination will soon be featured on billboards and bus shelters across the U.S.

The Outdoor Advertising Association of America (OAAA) has teamed up with Every Child By Two (ECBT), a nonprofit organization working to educate policy makers and parents about the critical need for timely immunizations, to spread the word about ECBT’s Vaccinate Your Baby campaign.

The campaign, championed by mother, actor, and volunteer spokesperson Amanda Peet, addresses misinformation about the safety of vaccines and directs the public to credible research and science-based information about immunizations.

“I am determined to do whatever I can to help parents like me get the facts straight on the issue of immunizations,” said Peet. “Thank you to OAAA for making Every Child By Two a public service partner. This partnership will allow ECBT to get its important immunization messages out to many more parents.”

Nancy Fletcher, OAAA president and CEO, commented, “The outdoor advertising industry is committed to providing public service advertising to social causes, especially when it comes to the health and safety of children. By helping to promote ECBT’s Vaccinate Your Baby campaign, the industry will be helping America’s children to stay happy and healthy.”

About ECBT
ECBT was founded by Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter and Former First Lady of Arkansas Betty Bumpers in 1991 as a result of the measles epidemic that killed over 120 people, many of them young children. Mrs. Carter and Mrs. Bumpers have been working on immunizations since their husbands were governors in the early 70s and have been credited with the passage of laws mandating school-age vaccination requirements.Over the last two decades, ECBT has worked with partners at the grassroots and national levels to develop initiatives that have had major impact on the overall system of vaccinations. These programs have helped to educate the public, healthcare workers and lawmakers about the importance and safety of immunizations, and have assisted in facilitating resolutions to immunization barriers.
